Bridal Shower for

Carrie Turner

Carrie's wedding day is coming up and the Aunts (on the Little side) decided to give her a wedding shower. Emily volunteered to help and she planned the games and made up a recipe book for family to write their favorite recipe in for Carrie. Becky said that she would do the food, but Katie and Jessica volunteered to do the food. We were glad to have the help from our girls.

Emily and I made Carrie a "dish towel" cake (fashioned after the diaper cakes that we have made). Emily came up with the idea and we decided to try it. The pictures showed how it turned out. It has lots of fun kitchen items on it.

Emily, Katie & Jessica did a lot of preparation for the shower - Katie and Jessica prepared a lot of fun food.

This is most of the people who came to the shower. It was a shower for Carrie's family. A lot of the extended Turner family didn't make it because they had prior committments.

This is the brides mom (and my sister), Lisa and the brides grandma, Melba Turner.

Emily planned a game where she wrote a bunch of questions that pertained to Jason and Carrie. She called Jason and had him answer the questions. At the shower Carrie was given the same questions and had to tell us how Jason answered them. If she missed a question she had to have a piece of gum, but if she got it right then Jason had to have the piece of gum. The both ended up with a mouthful of gum by the end. It was fun to see the different answers they would come up with - and their discussion with each other about it.
Heidi had me go in on a gift with her too. She had a basket that was filled with wrapped gifts. She had written Carrie a letter that had blanks in it. Each blank was labeled with a number and Carrie and Jason had to open the gift with that number on it to find the word that would fill in the blank in the letter. It fun and the letter was really cute.

This clock is the shower and wedding gift from Ryan and Brittania. They loved it.

Braxton came to the shower. It made Jason feel like he wasn't the only boy there. Braxton loved the Nilla Wafers that Katie brought and he would have liked to eat them the whole night.

The 3 cousins from the Little side of the family who pretty much grew up together. Emily Walker Mason, Jennifer Turner, Carrie Turner. So, 2 out of the 3 will be married - with 1 to go.
