DCI Semi-Finals

Troopers Make it to Finals
after a 23 year absence

Shaun has been in Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps this past year. It became a very memorable year when Troopers made it into finals after a 23 year absence in DCI finals. The week of finals was held in the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis Indiana. Quarter finals were shown in movie theaters around the country. We weren't able to go watch quarter finals because we had a nephew's wedding reception, but we had a subscription to the DCI Fan Network and was able to watch Semi-finals.

I was able to hook the computer up to the tv so we had a larger picture to watch.

It was an exciting night - especially when scores came out and Troopers had made the top 12 and into finals.

DCI did not broadcast finals, so when it was close to being over I signed into the Troopers chat room so I could get scores without waiting for them to get posted. I kept trying to call Shaun so he could tell me the scores as they were being announced, but he would never answer. What I didn't know was that the final 12 teams were on the field for "retreat" while scores were being announced. I copied these pictures from the Troopers chat - they were probably taken with someone's cell phone and sent into the chat.
