Old Testament Finished

I had never read the Old Testament all the way through like I have the other standard works. I liked the story about President Hinkley when he was a boy and was challenged in church to read the Old Testament. He took it to heart and went home, to the loft in the barn and started reading. He finished a year later. I decided if a young boy could accomplish it that so could I. I had never read the Old Testament from cover to cover. When I had Old Testament in Seminary in 9th grade we just read selected parts. So I decided that I wanted to read the whole thing once in my life. I started in January 2008 and finished in July 2009. It took me longer than it did President Hinkley, but I did it!
